To-day being Fri 13th we have been very lucky in
seeing wildlife here in Denali, wasn’t able to see the top of Mount Mckinley,
hopefully to-morrow as we go along the highway there are 2 or 3 pullouts that
people have been successful seeing it.
To-day we spotted a moose with a tracking collar, then down
the road some caribou a little further some dall sheep, a grizzly with a cub. It was hard to see her but on our way back we
saw her again quite clearly, she was eating her kill a moose calf. Also on our way back a grizzly came walking
down the middle of the road toward the bus and just passed beside us not a care
in the world.
We took a bus tour 66 miles into the park the scenery was
spectacular.
To-day the count was 1 moose, 2 bears and a cub, 18 Dall
sheep, 20 caribou, lots of ground squirrels, a long tail jaegar bird and also
the Alaska state bird a tarmagin. Not
bad for 1 day. I will try and post some pictures but I don’t have a strong wifi
here
